Terms of use

What this tool is, what it is not, and who is responsible for what. Last changed 8 November 2026.
Razum is a reference, not a record. It helps a shop see what is due and what needs someone. It does not replace the aircraft's technical log, its logbooks, or any certificate. Nothing it shows or prints is a maintenance record, a Certificate of Release to Service, or a Certificate of Maintenance Review, and nothing it shows determines that an aircraft is airworthy. Those judgements belong to a licensed engineer, and this tool never makes one.

Who is responsible

The operator and the licensed engineers remain responsible for the airworthiness of every aircraft, and for every maintenance record and certificate, under the civil aviation law of the aircraft's state of registry. In Guyana, where Razum's first customers fly, that is the Civil Aviation Act 2018 and the Civil Aviation Requirements 2024; elsewhere it is whatever the equivalent law of that state requires. Using this tool changes none of it.

The shop keeps its own official records. Razum is a second pair of eyes on what those records say — never the place they live.

What we owe you

What you owe us

A fair description of who is using the tool, one login per person (logins are how the record knows who did what, so a shared login makes the record worthless), and payment of invoices as agreed. Billing is by invoice; the paid-through date in this tool is a note of what has settled, not a payment system.

The limit of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of this tool is limited to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost business, lost contracts, loss of an aircraft's availability.

What that limit does not cover. It does not limit anything that cannot be limited by law, and it is not a transfer of responsibility: an engineer who signs a certificate is responsible for that signature whatever this tool displayed. If the tool and the aircraft's own records disagree, the records win — and we want to hear about it, because a disagreement is a fault in the tool.

Ending it

You may stop at any time, and take your data with you. We may end an account for non-payment, or for use that puts other customers' data at risk, with notice and with your data kept available for 90 days.

Which country's law

These terms are governed by the law of Guyana, and its courts have jurisdiction. Nothing here takes away a right the law of your own country gives you and does not allow to be signed away.

Drafted in-house, in plain language, and not legal advice. A lawyer has not yet reviewed this page. If you are deciding whether to rely on it, say so and we will tell you exactly where it stands.

Razum — maintenance tracking for the people who actually sign for it.
This is a working reference, not a maintenance record and not a determination of airworthiness. The record is the logbook, and the decision is the engineer's.
